He will celebrate his 30th birthday on January 1, 2020. Mr. Ben Que'n got his start in the barbecue world much like the rest of you by watching and learning from others who had already mas- tered the grill or pit. He takes pride in being able to communi- cate with thousands of barbecuers daily. He uses this monthly maga- zine, social media pages, and videos to accomplish this task. His favorite thing of all is helping new- comers understand that excellent barbecue can be a relatively simple process. Mr. Ben Que'n is a believer that a great barbecue meal can help unite, in- spire, and heal if needed. He is an avid supporter of Operation Barbecue Relief and has worked on several different outings to ensure those in need got a hot barbecue meal. He can also be found partaking barbecue from local joints all around the country as he also thinks this is where a ton of barbecue dreams have gotten started. He is undoubtedly no stranger to the BBQ compe- tition world as he cooks and judges several times a year to keep himself in the know about happening trends and changes in this growing realm. He also keeps track of all the different barbecue grills and pits that being de- veloped and sold just so he can test them out and report on his findings so his follow- ers will be more informed be- fore they go make purchases.
