If you’re looking for a podcast that’s all about the fun that can be had behind a grill, ‘The Pit Life BBQ Podcast’ is for you. Hosts John ‘Johnny Mags’ Maquire and Greg ‘The BBQ Broker’ DiGiorgio are successful BBQ Pitmasters them- selves and have brought their expertise to the podcasting table.
Their show is quite different to a lot of BBQ podcasts out there. It’s not scripted, and it’s live, so nothing is left on the cutting room floor. You get to hear every fumble, every lost train of thought, and of course every outburst of laugh- ter. As a result, the episodes are very real, raw and direct. Most of all, they’re real.
It’s not only their love of BBQ, but also their deep knowl- edge of it that shines through when you listen to their show. Together, they’ve won a few Grand Championship awards, as well as being named ‘Best Ribs on the Seacoast’ and ‘Best Wings on the Seacoast’. Nothing compares though to learning of the profound effect that their show has on their audience. Like the time Mags’ best friend was camping with his family, and their neighbour started talk- ing about this great BBQ show they’d been listening to. Well, you know who that was!
