 (older than traditional college-aged students) at SIU-C and, because I loved to party like most college students, it was a good thing to hang with this older more astute fraternity brother. We both graduated and moved to California in the early 90’s to pursue our ca- reers. Gil was an engineer, who loved to build and tinker with equipment. At many competi- tions I would find Gil and Greg Curry up late, sitting around the fire, talking about engi- neering. Gil, thank you for being a role model to our fraternity and especially to me. He is survived by his wife, Kim, and his two sons Gil Jr. and Miles. Rest easy, brother.
