 SCA World Championships
As our country and the world begins opening back up from the COVID-19 pandemic, we are all beginning to feel the weight being lifted. This is especially true when it comes to all the events which have had to be post- poned or canceled all together. Some of our promoters have tried waiting to the very last minute before they made the call to cancel their event. As a promoter (even as a competitor) there is no worse feeling than having to make this call and the bigger the event the worse to feeling. People make plans to be there. Take vacation time from
work, review the fam- ily budget for costs, book a hotel room and then you get word it’s not happen- ing or is being post- poned. The disappointment you feel is even worse for the promoter.

move the SCA World Championships to March 12-14, 2021. We will still be in Ft. Worth at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. This move was necessary and is proving to be great choice. First thing this does, is removing the conflict many of our cooks were fac- ing. Many of you cook at both competitions and were agonizing about missing one. Secondly, moving it to March makes the fall a bit less crowded. Thirdly, with COVID-19 shut- ting down many con- tests around the world, there were less opportunities for you to win your Golden Ticket, so moving it to March does make
