to perpetuate this art, which neither time nor machi/ nery can overshadow. Today is rich with interesting materials, and it is the work of the creative artist to reassemble these mediums in a manner which interprets the present time; but it remains for the designers in the various fields, in which textiles play so important a function, to welcome this cooperation as an integrated part of their chosen interpretations.
In presenting this collection we feel that we have, in some measure, proven the value and place of hand/woven fabrics in a machine age.
