Safety of 3rd Parties
PPE Requirements
Rough terrain forklifts Tractors Trailers Rollers Cordless Hand Tools The company controls the use of all the above equipment and the safe use thereof, the client undertakes to maintain said equipment.
Safety of 3rd parties is controlled by restricting access to the working area during demolition and excavation. The client is asked to adhere to all measure the company put in place for the welfare of its employees.
All PPE is provided by the company and employees are made aware that these must be worn at all times. The company accepts that whilst every endeavour is taken to ensure that employees adhere to the company PPE policy certain occasions will arise where PPE was not elected to be worn by the employee. Under these circumstances the company will not be held responsible for any injury thereafter on the basis that PPE was made available and elected not to be worn.
Employees reported for not wearing the correct PPE will be recorded and the employee will be required to sign to confirm that the correct PPE was not worn at that time. Possible further training will be undertaken to ensure that the employees falling within this bracket will be trained further to ensure that the risks are clearly identified.
First aid is available at all times during any works for the client, in addition the company has the use of the clients radio network allowing for first aid calls to be made and response thereafter.
The company is fully aware of the first aid personnel within the clients business and the necessary measures to contact such representatives.
Due to the nature of the works that the company will carry out for the client the company operate inline with the clients procedures in house. Alongside the clients procedures the company has set guidelines to ensure that all emergencies are handled and reported in the manor in which the company has set out within the H&S Policy Procedures in the event that all the above fail are in accordance with the type of emergency, if medical then response services should be contacted without delay. For all other types in the first instance the supervisor must be contacted and the managing director later informed.
There is no risk of any environmental issues with any of the tasks carried out for the client.
The company prohibits all of its employees to handle and dangerous substances or materials therefore the supervisor will ensure that all tasks are clearly outlined prior to staff arriving on site.
