OUTCOMES
Based on the library goals and objectives, it has the required provision of sufficient, relevant and
updated information resources necessary to support the curricular, informational, recreational and
professional needs of the clients. Adopted a standard system and procedures for easy and quick
access of materials and acquired state-of-the art equipment and facilities in order to cope up with
the current trends in information technology.
Continuous book acquisition is being done every semester which as of today (June 2019), it has the
last accession number of 14238 volumes. With this total holdings, 3,545 volumes are Bachelor of
Science in Information Technology (BSIT),Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management
(BHRM),Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSC) and Master in Public Administration (MPA) with 90
% new edition. (Please see Parameter C for details).
Through the process of book acquisition never stops, there may still some information demands of
the students that may not be well addressed to, however clients can opt to search the E-books and
digital resources available at the internet service at the library which is provided with 18 computer
units;
With existing collection of books and non-book materials in the library, students and faculty would
take the options whether to use the print or non-print resources.
BEST PRACTICES
A library organizational structure is crafted in order to well-defined functions of staff that would
guide them in the proper delivery of service and close coordination of responsibilities;
Implementation of the online system through the library system which has three frames: the IFSU
logo, the menu window, and the dialogue box;
Conducts of periodic review of functions and responsibilities of staff to resolve problems, issues and
concerns of the library;
Availability of the Library Manual /handbook placed on strategic location of the library and attend
to request for copy to whoever is interested from among the clients;
New policies and rules are well disseminated through bulletins, handbook,facebook ,website and
class orientation programs
