Research outputs are protected by IPR laws.
To protect the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and ensure the observance of research
ethics among faculty and student researchers, the RDET manual includes the provisions of R.A.
8293, the Philippine Copyright Law and the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines and
R.A. 165, the Philippine Patent Law. It is the function of RDET to orient the faculty and student
researchers on their rights, privileges, as well as their legal limits, ethics, and responsibilities.
3. OUTCOMES
Evidences that implementation, monitoring, evaluation and research utilization
outputs are effective.
Approved research by the core faculty members of the BS in Forestry program were
funded by the university and implemented by the researchers. After the conduct of the studies it
was presented during the Agency In-House Review (AIHR) for comments, suggestions in
preparation for presentation in a forum and publication in a reputable peer-reviewed journal. The
published articles were utilized by the public as a manifestations in the citation of their scholarly
works.
4. BEST PRACTICES
Cite as many best practices as you can on Parameter C (Implementation,
Monitoring, Evaluation and Utilization or Research Results/Outputs).
Research of the core faculty of the BSforestry program are in line with the priority trust
of the university and other national agencies. Likewise, the approved research were
presented during the inhouse review for approval, funding and implementation. Moreover it
was published to a reputable peer-reviewed journal.
The conduct of research endeavor by the core faculty of the BSForestry program
followed the process of implementation, monitoring, evaluation and utilization of output as
reflected in the guidelines of RDET manual.
