Tips for Success with Floral Adhesive
• When first opening the tube of glue use Leaf Shine, Pam or lotion on the nozzle
and cap to prevent glue from building up. A little on your hands will help you
remove glue easily as well.
• With flat nosed pliers squeeze the nozzle to an oval making the stream of WEDDING
glue more controllable.
• Use a ceramic tile, non-stick cookie sheet or square of plastic as your gluing
station, this will keep your design area tidy and keep your glue puddle ready for
the next use.
• By adding fresh glue to the puddle the glue will reconstitute resulting in less waste.
Use only a small amount of glue at a time as it dries out very quickly.
• Try a few methods, dipping from a glue puddle or gluing right to the surface,
another way is to glue to a surface then touch it to the other connecting surface.
This tip works great if you have too much glue on one of the surfaces.
• Use glue to cover the cut end of blooms, preserving moisture for the flower.
Use a reasonable amount of glue for success.
• Glue sticks to glue, be sure to have glue on both surfaces. Floral Adhesive sticks
best when cured, glue must be tacky, count to ten, at least before attaching.
• Flowers must be at room temperature before gluing, the condensation will not allow
glue to set. Let corsages set out for 20 minutes to cure and set before using
finishing spray.
• Store glue with the lid tightly sealed. If the top gets lost, insert a corsage pin into
the nozzle to seal the tube of glue until the next use.
