NORTHWEST District Report Angie Huber PT PT DPT – Co-Chair
WANT TO HELP PLAN CE EVENTS FOR THE DISCTRICT?
Following elections several leadership changes have settled into the NW District Angela Huber (hubera@findlay edu) and Nicole Schroeder (schroedern3@findlay edu) have been elected as joint Chairpersons Sara Burke is is past-chair Allison Durham is now the sole Nominating chair Sean McBride is now the sole Continuing Education chair and David Verhoff has been elected as as the new Treasurer We welcome our new members and we we thank Brooke Maltz (Membership Chair) Michelle Masterson (PAC Chair) Colton Rhinebolt (EP SIG Representative) and Bethany Foreman (Pediatric SIG Representative) who continue to hold their previous posts We are excited to serve you in these roles in in the coming years! A special thank you to Sara Burke for her hard work dedication and service to the district Your commitment is is appreciated!
It is unclear how the pandemic will continue to impact our professional and district goals Upcoming events for the district include a a virtual or or in-person winery activity for the PAC to occur
sometime in March 2022 a a a a Virtual Research Forum presented by the University of Findlay DPT students and and other TBD events and and activities We are working hard to meet your needs as a a a district Are you interested in in in presenting a CE event for the district? Do you know someone who would be interested or or have an an idea for a a a a a a presentation? Want to help plan CE events for the district? We welcome your suggestions for continuing education topics and and presenters and and encourage you to email Sean McBride at sean mcbride@findlay edu with your ideas!

Sean McBride PT PT DPT Happy New Year in in 2022! We sincerely hope that you have been safe and well this year The Northwest District District finished 2021 2021 with several events and activities In early October 2021 2021 NW District District Regional Delegate Dr Dr Cindy Bouillon and Chief Delegate Dr Dr Megan Donaldson presented a a a a a a CE event “Advocacy in in Action – Post HOD Updates ” Later in the the month the the district hosted its Centennial Celebration and PT Day of Service activity in in in combination with a a a a a a a a a a district fundraiser at at Four Fires Meadery in in in Maumee Ohio A call was made for 100 items of cold weather clothing to be donated and the the district exceeded this expectation donating well over 150 items items to to the Cherry Street Mission Thank you to to everyone who donated items items and a a a a a a special thank you to to Colton Rhinebolt (our own district EPSIG representative) for excellent coordination in in in the Centennial Celebration activities across all of the the Ohio districts! As a a a a a a a final wrap-up fin in December 2021 the the district district hosted the the graduating cohort of 2022 student PTAs from Owens Community College in in their second annual CE course titled “Student PTA Research Symposium ” Well done everyone!
