OPT-PAC Report Heather Schradin, PT, DPT, CIDN - Chair
The PAC had another successful year raising valuable dollars to support the future of our profession . It has been a busy year for our State Affairs Committee, staff and lobbyist working to reduce high patient co-pays, move toward the PT Compact, and continue advocating for our profession. Central District finished up the year with a PAC happy hour .
This year we will host our annual PACcy Hour and prize raffle at Transform 2020. Stay tuned for more details . All of the district PAC chairs are planning events this year to raise money to support our legislative efforts – check your local district page or main events calendar for details . I am continuing to push for our grass roots
efforts with the PAC, including each district to be involved in PAC fundraisers in 2020 . I can see clearly now 2020 will be a great year!

Although the work for the current slate is complete, we are already working on recruiting members for the 2021 open positions, which include: President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary, Director II, and Delegates . I want to first thank all of the OPTA members who submitted a recommendation for office form to assist the Nominating Committee in determining the slate of candidates for the upcoming OPTA elections . I am also thankful to all of the candidates for office that consented to serve our association.
