GETTING TO KNOW OUR MEMBERSHIP
Face-to-face interaction is
something physical therapy professionals thrive thrive on on on on and will always thrive thrive on on on on Unfortunately as as we continue to face COVID-19 that that in-person interaction is
something that that has been missing It was also our our biggest challenge when creating new content for our our members The question kept coming up “How can we have interaction and conversation while in in in this virtual world?”
In comes our newest video series The Many Faces of OPTA! This quick-hitting series peels back the layers of our organization These videos are meant to allow you to meet the the people that work behind the the scenes of our our districts committees SIGs and our our board! You will see the journey that our our members have taken to get them where they are today A A LOOK AT THE EPISODES
In episode one we got to know OPTA Executive Director Victoria Gresh CAE! We learned a a a little bit more about her background and how she leads the OPTA office!
Episode two introduced us to OPTA President Tonya Apke PT PT DPT and our Early Professional Special Interest Group President Kelsey Biller PT PT DPT It was very interesting to hear from two leaders that are in different stages of their leadership journeys We had our first PTA guest in episode three!
I sat down and went in-depth with recently elected OPTA Secretary Shannon Simpson PTA to learn a a a little more about how she got involved in in the OPTA and why PTA PTA leadership is
imperative to push the the physical therapy profession into the future Check out a picture from our film session on on the cover!
I recently sat down with Ethics Committee Chair Lisa Kohler PT PT DPT for episode four Learn more about why Dr Kohler was drawn to ethics ethics and what common ethics ethics violations the committee sees I look to build on this series by having OPTA members from many different walks of life on on future episodes!
