Let’s Move Forward and Engage!
There’s been a great deal of buzz around APTA’s efforts to create brand alignment with state chapters as well as APTA sections . Not one to ever take a back seat, the Ohio Chapter has jumped right in!
 MOVEFORWARDPT.COM/OH

state consumer sites, OPTA has transitioned from
our brand MakePTHappen .com to the APTA brand
MoveForwardPT .com/OH . Brand alignment of
our consumer site with APTA provides consistent
messaging and information for PT consumers
nationwide yet allows for customization for states
(since all states are unique) . Ohio is a leader in opportunities to serve the association, consumer content, with creative blogs and videos both nationally and locally. The new designed to attract, engage and inform the consumer .
The unified brand will also enable states to share content with other states, which is a win for everyone—especially those with limited resources .
So, why is this important?
According to Michel Hogan from Smart Company,
“Put simply, brand alignment is making sure that everything you are doing, thinking and saying as an organization lines up, resulting in a strong, consistent and sustainable brand. It is a company-wide, horizontal, organizing principle. Don’t devalue it and just use it
for your communications. When fully embraced, the idea of brand alignment can be transformational.”
Having APTA co-manage our consumer site ensures we will spend less time and money on managing the site, and more time on direct member engagement .
APTA ENGAGE
To continue with our brand alignment with
APTA, OPTA will unveil our new volunteer portal APTA Engage . By utilizing this national portal, OPTA members will be able to view volunteer opportunities in Ohio and nationwide . This portal
engagement platform will evolve over time, including the creation of micro- volunteering opportunities for those who want to make a positive impact with a smaller time commitment.
Interested applicants for national volunteer groups should opt-in and complete a volunteer interest profile in APTA Engage to be eligible for
all volunteer opportunities as they become available throughout the year. To apply for an open position, update your profile, select the opportunity you are interested in, select "Apply Now," and answer any questions to indicate how you'd be an asset to the group. Please look for announcements regarding these volunteer opportunities in PT in Motion: News, component newsletters, and other communication channels.”
2019 promises to be another exciting year for OPTA— stay tuned for exciting changes coming soon and let us know what you think!
