THE CHALLENGES OF THE EXISTING FOOTPRINT
The existing footprint
of the home was cut up, closed off and did not make it easy to entertain, especially with family visiting from out of town.
The existing kitchen was small and closed off to the living room with little countertop workspace.
The placement of the gas range at the opening to the living room created a safety hazard with small children passing through.
The empty space above cabinets was wasted and not utilized at all.
