                 SIXTH FORM COLLEGE PROSPECTUS
   RACHEL MAGILL
Year 13
I moved from Movilla High School to Strangford Integrated College to start Sixth Form. I felt the range of subjects offered were more suitable for my choices for A Level Study. I am studying Media Studies, Religious Studies and Business Studies.
Moving school is a very daunting experience and I wasn’t sure how I would fit in. However, from the first day I felt welcomed and all my peers are very friendly. We went to Ganaway for a team building day where we tried the climbing wall, crate building, zip wire and archery! It was a jam-packed day full of activities and I really got to know other students and staff members in an informal environment.
Strangford Integrated College definitely has a communityfeelwheretheteacherslookoutforour well-being, both emotionally and educationally. I feel like I am a valued student here and have been offered many great opportunities.
DANIEL KIRK
Year 13
I have always loved playing football and when I was selected for the Irish FA UEFA Football Academy it was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. From Year 10 to Year 12 I trained for the Academy and returned to Strangford Integrated College for Sixth Form.
I am studying Sport and Uniformed Protective Services Double Award. I’m really enjoying the more vocational pathway and I hope to continue my studies and become a teacher or I’m also interested in the Royal Navy.
I have always been encouraged by my teachers to follow my dreams. I was accepted straight back into Strangford Integrated College and it felt like I had never been away. I have made lifelong friends and our school football team is goingfromstrengthtostrength. Inowenjoy mentoring younger students and encouraging them to reach their potential in football and in their school studies.
MEGAN VANCE
Year 13
I am currently studying Biology, Health and Social Care and Business Studies. I hope to continue my studies at University and read Paleontology. I have always been very happy at Strangford Integrated College. Throughout my time at school I have felt supported and treated as an individual. Any pastoral issues have been dealt with quickly and sensitively.
At Strangford Integrated College, we are encouraged to treat our teachers and fellow students with respect and I feel that this is why the school feels like a community where we look out for each other. I feel ready and prepared to move on to the next stage of my education and
I know that my experience here has given me a firm foundation for the next stage of my journey.
