BUILDING TRUST AND RECOGNIZING INNER DRIVERS

                 VANESSA’S STORY

There’s a wealth of examples and anecdotes I could offer
about the times we’re certain our message is crystal clear,

only to discover the audience has interpreted it entirely

differently. I’ve often pondered why this occurs and
how I could enhance my communication to ensure the

intended message comes across as intended.

Striking the right balance between providing enough

context without overloading information is critical; it can
mean the difference between engaging your audience ef-

fectively or losing them entirely. Understanding your

personal communication style, including your pace and

preferences, is the first step. For instance, I have a
tendency to speak quickly and give concise directions.

While this approach may resonate with those who share

my communication style, I’ve realized it can be per-
plexing and even stressful for those who don’t, leaving

them with more questions than answers. Adapting my

approach to suit the communication styles of others has
been instrumental in enhancing my interactions and build-

ing trust with colleagues, clients, and family members.

Awareness is just the starting point. Mastering com-

munication is a continuous process, practiced with each
