• Oxidase Aq. Soln. of Gum Arabic +few drops o
enzyme test drops of benzidine T.S.→
Shake and allow to
blue or a greenish-

• Lead sub Aq. Soln. of gum Arabic +1 mL of lead
acetate test soln.→ flocculent white

• Lead ppt.

No flocculent white ppt.

1 g of powdered gum+ 1 mL N/50 iodi
solution→ yellowish brown color.
