 PUBLIC SECTOR EXPERIENCE | MUNICIPAL
  FRETZ PARK BRANCH LIBRARY
The Fretz Park Branch Library project, built for the City of Dallas, included the demolition and renovation of a 19,500-square-foot municipal library as well as a 6,000-square-foot addition located in Dallas, TX. The facility functions as a book depository, auditorium, and reading area. The municipal library was constructed on a structural slab foundation with a structural steel frame. A glass and brick exterior and a TPO membrane roof completed the construction. The project also included interior renovations, parking lot upgrades, and an extension to
the original library areas, classrooms, and study rooms. This project achieved LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainable building products, material re-use, and diversion of waste materials. Due to CORE’s efforts, the Fretz Park Branch Library now provides a larger, up-to-date facility for computer connectivity, library programs, and community meetings.
