After many attempts, we were fortunate enough to be awarded the contracts for two projects - a classroom building addition at Ben Hill Griffin Jr. Elementary School and a cafeteria building addition at Eastside Elementary School. Typically when a new client hires us for the first time, the projects are challenging; they want to see what we can do. In addition to the typical complexities and challenges inherent to building on an occupied K-12 campus, these projects experienced numerous unforseen delays along the way. The all-important and universal fact about K-12 construction is that no matter what delays present themselves, these facilities have an opening date that cannot be missed. Every CORE|HORUS team member that has been a part of these projects has more than done their part, and now we are coming down the home stretch, with an anticipated completion in early April. Big thank you to the entire project team for all of their hard work.
