LAWLER MIDDLE SCHOOL
The Lawler Middle school project, built for the Frisco Independent School District, included the new construction of a 150,000-square-foot middle school campus located in Frisco, TX. The facility houses 56 classrooms, science laboratories, and computer labs for students in sixth through eighth grade. The middle school campus was constructed on a slab-on-grade concrete foundation with an insulating concrete form, concrete masonry unit block, and structural steel frame. A brick, stone, and composite panel exterior with a modified bituminous roof completed the construction. The project also features library space, a gymnasium, an industrial kitchen, and a cafeteria. Exterior work consisted of installing two lighted tennis courts, an athletic field with a four-lane running track, discus and shot put pads with safety cages, multi-event area runways and landings, and in addition to a 218-slot capacity parking lot. Due to CORE’s professional construction management services, Lawler Middle School now provides an updated facility for students, staff, and faculty.
