DALLAS FIRE STATION NO. 50
The Dallas Fire Station No. 50 project, built for the City of Dallas, included the new construction of a 12,315 square foot fire station in Dallas, TX. The two-bay and two half-bay station houses Engine 50 and Rescue 50 and supports all fire-related operations, administration, communications, prevention, education, inspection, and Emergency Medical Services for the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department. Dallas Fire Station No. 50 was constructed of a slab-on-forms foundation, steel structural frame, and a bitumen roofing system. The project also features a watch area, kitchen, dining room, living room, dormitories, restrooms, showers, and a fitness room to accommodate 15 firefighters per shift. This project achieved LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainability and energy efficiency. The Dallas Fire Station No. 50 project now provides effective and rapid emergency, fire, rescue, and prevention services to the population of Fire District 6.
