HOPE COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS ACADEMY
The Hope College and Career Readiness Academy project, built for Maricopa Community College District, included the new construction of a two-story, 54,375-square-foot high school classroom building on the South Mountain Community College campus located in Phoenix, AZ. The facility functions as a charter high school for 400 students ages 16 to 24 enrolled in GED preparatory courses, and houses classrooms, a daycare center, a kitchen, and career and technical education laboratories. The high school classroom building was constructed utilizing a spread footing with CMU block stem foundation, a structural steel, composite floor deck, steel joists framing, a painted masonry exterior, and a spray foamed roof. Due to CORE’s educational construction expertise, the Hope College Career and Readiness Academy project now provides academic education, professional training, and employment to youth in the surrounding community.
