COMBATING MALARIA:

             OUR SCHOOL'S APPROACH ON WORLD

                                           MALARIA DAY

Introduction: As we commemorate World Malaria Day, it's imperative for us to reflect on the
global efforts to prevent and combat malaria. At The Cuddle School Abuja, we recognize the
importance of raising awareness and taking proactive steps to prevent malaria within our school
community and beyond. Through education, prevention measures, and community engagement,
we aim to contribute to the global fight against this deadly disease.

Education and Awareness: Education is key to raising awareness about malaria and
empowering individuals to take preventive measures. At our school, we incorporate malaria
education into our curriculum, teaching pupils about the causes, symptoms, and prevention
methods of malaria. Through interactive lessons, presentations, and discussions, we strive to
equip our pupils with the knowledge and tools they need to protect themselves and others from

  malaria.

Preventive Measures: Prevention is the cornerstone of our approach to
combating malaria. We implement various preventive measures to
reduce the risk of malaria transmission within our school community.
 These measures include:

Mosquito Control: We take proactive measures to control mosquito
populations within our school premises. This includes regular
inspection and maintenance of mosquito breeding sites, such as
stagnant water sources, and the use of mosquito nets and screens to

prevent mosquito entry into classrooms and dormitories.

Personal Protection: We encourage pupils and staff to use personal
protective measures to prevent mosquito bites. This includes wearing
long-sleeved clothing, applying insect repellent, and sleeping under
insecticide-treated bed nets, especially during peak mosquito activity
      times.

      Environmental Management: We promote environmental
management practices that help reduce mosquito breeding habitats.
This includes proper waste management, drainage maintenance,
and landscaping techniques that minimize standing water.

Conclusion: On World Malaria Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to
preventing and combating malaria. At The Cuddle School Abuja, we are
dedicated to raising awareness, implementing preventive measures, and
engaging our community in the fight against malaria. Together, we can
make a significant impact in reducing the burden of malaria and building

a healthier, malaria-free future for generations to come.
