Hong Kong welcomes talent
Hong Kong's most valuable asset is our people. A well-educated, hard-working, efficient and multi-lingual local community
is complemented by a substantial expatriate community that brings skills and global perspectives, enhancing the city's economic and cultural dynamism.
v In August 2018, Hong Kong promulgated its first Talent List to attract quality people from around the world to come to live, work and contribute to Hong Kong;
v The Talent List covers 11 professions that Hong Kong needs most in sectors such as Fintech, data science and cyber security, innovation and technology, creative industries, waste treatment, asset management, marine insurance, actuarial science, marine services as well as legal and dispute resolution services;
v Talents and professionals from all industries and sectors are welcome to submit applications under the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS) or other admission schemes. Qualified talents in the Talent List can obtain the bonus points under the QMAS.
