Hong Kong is a highly innovative place. With world-class universities and technology infrastructure such as Cyberport and Hong Kong Science Park, Hong Kong is a prominent international R&D hub in the region. The HKSAR Government lends support
in the form of grants and infrastructure, as well as by fostering
a vibrant innovation and technology ecosystem that welcomes talent from across the world and nurtures tech start-ups.
Innovation and technology
v The World Digital Competitiveness Ranking 2020 issued by the International Institute for Management Development ranked Hong Kong
the 5th most innovative place among 63 economies surveyed
and 2nd in Asia;
v InnoCell, adjacent to Hong Kong Science Park, is scheduled for completion within 2020, providing around 500 residential units with flexible design, ancillary facilities and shared working spaces for leasing to principals of the tenants and incubatees in the Science Park, as well as their Mainland or overseas employees and visiting researchers at affordable rents.
