To guard against COVID-19 and in
the light of acute demand for protective facial masks, the HKSAR Government has given each of its 7.5 million residents a free, reusable face mask to guard against COVID-19. Awarded a Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva in 2018, the CuMask+TM, which
was developed by the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel, is designed to be washed and re-used up to 60 times.
