Have you ever watched a beach volleyball match? Once I had an opportunity to watch a men’s

beach volleyball match at Tuan Chau Beach, Quang Ninh, between the Indonesian team and

Thailand’s. The match turned out to be very fun and exciting.
At that time the Indonesian team was represented by Mohammad Ashfiya/Ade Chandra

Rachmawan and Rendy Verdian Licardo/ Gilang Ramadhan. Ashfiya/Chandra were able to beat
Thailand’s Surin Jongklang/Banlue Nakprakong with the score 2-0 (21-13, 21-18). Meanwhile,

Gilang/Rendy beat Pithak Tipjan/Poravid Taovato with the score of 2-0 (21-17, 21-15). I saw that

our players aggressively attacked their opponent from the beginning of the match. Plus, they were
able to counter the opponents’ attack very well. In my opinion, it appeared that Ashfiya/Chandra

and Gilang/Rendy already understood the opponents’ weaknesses. Thus, they were able to
continue to press and place the ball on areas that were diffisult for the opponents to reach.

Obviously, they deserved to be the champion.

I witnessed how our beach volleyball players fought to get points which were not easy. Hats off
for the Indonesian players.
