Whereas under PDF category, story submission share observed maximum from Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, which was 5.7%, 5.5%, and 5.3%, respectively. Remaining States and Union Territories showed less than a 5% share of story submission.

were awarded in the PDF category. One hundred twelve authors under Ph.D. Category and 21 authors under PDF Category were awarded Rs 10,000 and Certificate of Appreciation. On the eve of National Science Day, certificates were given to six Ph.D. scholars and two Post-doc fellows for winning the AWSAR awards. Chris Felshia from CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute, Adyar, Chennai won the first prize (Rs. 1,00,000) in the Ph.D. category; while Anand Abhishek and Sayantan Sur from CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani and Department of Zoology, University of Delhi won the second prize (Rs. 50,000); and the third prize (Rs. 25,000) winners were Anirban Sarkar, ChitrangDani and M L Bhavya from Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, Kolkata; Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bengaluru and CSIR- Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru, respectively. Dr. R. Chandran (from Marine Biology Regional Station, Zoological Survey of India, Chennai ) and Dr. Joyita Sarkar (from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune) won the Rs. 1,00,000 prize in the Post-doc category. In the top 100 list, 29 students from IITs were selected in the Ph.D. category and six in the Post-Doctoral category. Moreover, twelve Ph.D. students and three PDFs from CSIR were also there.
