BUDGET
An amount of `1680.47 (Including carry forward `325.86 for Financial year 2018-2019) lakh was received during the year 2019-2020 from DST as Grant-in-Aid. Against, this, `1587.49 lakh was spent.
GENERAL BODY AND GOVERNING BODY MEETING
53rd Governing Body and 30th General Body meetings were held on 14th February 2020.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGE IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE
Vigyan Prasar is committed to using Hindi in
office-related work. All the officers/employees of
Vigyan Prasar are encouraged to write noting,
comments, and correspondence in Hindi. Apart
from this, Vigyan Prasar also develops videos
and audio programmes in the Hindi language.
During the financial year 2019-20, an expense
of Rs 31,488 was incurred on the purchase of
resource materials (DVDs, books, etc.) in Hindi.
Dream 2047, a popular science magazine of
Vigyan Prasar, is regularly published in bilingual
format in English and Hindi languages and
around 11,500 copies are distributed across the
