Hindi Pakhwada was organised during 14-28 September 2019 in Vigyan Prasar. Various competitions such as essay writing, extempore speech, and poetry were successfully held during the fortnight. The winners were awarded a certificate of appreciation and cash prizes.
Vigyan Prasar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee submitted all the quarterly reports online and by post, well in time. The meeting of the Vigyan Prasar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee is held from time to time to analyse institutional efforts and structure new activities for the progressive use of Hindi.
Implementation of Right to Information Act
The provisions of RTI Act have been implemented through nomination of CPIO and the Appellate Authority of the organization.
Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Work Place
Necessary mechanism has been placed in compliance with instructions on the subject. No complaint was received during the year
Vigilance Report (2019-20)
During the year no complaint was received by the Vigilance Officer. Periodic reports on monthly and quarterly basis relating to vigilance were submitted regularly to the Chief Vigilance Officer, DST, Govt. of India.
Vigyan Prasar observed Vigilance Awareness Week from 28 October to 2 November 2019 at Vigyan Prasar. All the staff of Vigyan Prasar took the pledge from the Director, VP, in connection to the observance on 28 October 2019. The theme of the Vigilance Week was “INTEGRITY – A WAY OF LIFE”.
Surprise checks on cash were conducted. Preventive vigilance activities were undertaken.
The mechanism of redressal of grievances of the employees of the organization is available. The first Wednesday of every month is observed as Grievance Redressal Day. A Suggestion/Complaint box is installed at office premises and checked regularly.
