To Governing Body of Vigyan Prasar REPORT ON THE AUDIT OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
Opinion
We have audited the Balance sheet, Income and Expenditure Account& Receipt and Payment Account of Vigyan Prasar for the period ended 31 March 2020.
In our opinion, and according to the information and explanations given to us, the accompanying said financial statement, including a summary of significant accounting policies and other explanatory information, give a true and fair view of the financial position and the financial performance for the year then ended in accordance with the Accounting Standards issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Basis for Opinion
We conducted our audit in accordance with the Standards on Auditing (SAs) issued by ICAI. Our responsibilities under those standards are further described in the Auditor’s Responsibilities for the Audit of the Financial Statements section of our report. We are independent of the entity in accordance with the

Vigyan Prasar had organized India International Science Festival for which it had received a grant of Rs 20,87,39,802. After conclusion of the Festival, there are advances amounting to Rs 69,80,397 outstanding as at March 31, 2020. These advances are subject to confirmation
Advances under the IISF programme was given as per the conditions stipulated in the sanction orders and the various agreements entered by Vigyan Prasar. The advances given to the service providers in pursuance of the afore- referred agreement and sanction orders were fully secured by the Bank Guarantees. As such are the confirmed advances. It is therefore requested to kindly treat this observation as settled.
