 Vigyan Prasar’s collaboration with film festivals
5th Science Film Festival of India (SCI-FFI) 2020
The 5th edition of Science Film Festival of India 2020 (SCI-FFI 2020) was held from January 15 to 18, 2020 at Inox complex and Maquinez Palace, Goa. The event was organised by Vidnyan Parishad, Goa in association with Vigyan Prasar. It was partnered by Department of Science, Technology and Waste Management, Government of Goa; Entertainment Society of Goa; CSIR-NIO; Goa University; Goa Science
Centre; NCOPR, MoES; ICAR; SRFTI, Kolkata; and CSIR-NISCAIR.
Screening of award-winning films, theme- based films and sessions on innovations and entrepreneurship, master classes, Goa state science film screening, panel discussion and theme-based activities were held during the four-day festival. The objectives of this festival were to present scientific issues conveniently and entertainingly to a wide range of audience and demonstrate that science can be enjoyable. Science films made by students were screened to showcase the talent of our young scientists and to promote their interest in this field. The films selected for screening included ‘Mission
