     New-Age Technology Show
‘New-age India, through the prism of cutting- edge technologies’ exhibition, was organised from 5 to 8 November 2019 at the Science City, Kolkata. The exhibition included:
Nature embedded − A Design-Technology Experience: Developed by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, it showcased the natural habitat through the filters of cultural connotations and humane way to connect technology with people.
Interactive experience zone: Developed in collaboration with the Gujarat Council for Science & Technology, it was meant to
experience some magical augmented reality cards, Virtual Reality, Surface and Object Detection, Motion Sensor Xbox, Flipbook projection and Holofan technology. Visitors also experienced the augmented reality of flora and fauna of the region and animals on big screen.
Digital exhibits on Mahatma Gandhi:
This was developed to provide an interactive experience for viewers to relive the important events of Gandhiji’s life in a multi-user interactive smart surface table. His memorabilia was also visualised in 3D Virtual Hologram Display. Technological advancement in thematic mapping was showcased by the National Atlas and Thematic Mapping Organisation.
