INAE Digital Platform: An INAE Digital Platform was instituted to digitalize the functioning of the academy. Twenty-two modules are being developed for accepting online nominations and online applications for INAE awards and schemes; eight are already alive. The fellowship module was successfully deployed to facilitate online submission, review and scrutiny of nominations. INAE also launched a webinar series in the year 2020 on topics encompassing all sectors and disciplines of engineering and technology.
Pilot Project on Safe Laboratory Practices
and Laboratory Waste Disposal: A pilot project on Safe Laboratory Practices and Laboratory Waste Disposal was undertaken with the objective to create an implementable action plan to enhance the awareness of health and safety issues in chemical laboratories and establish best practices for the disposal of chemical and hazardous wastes in the laboratories of universities, colleges and research institutions in India. A report along with the project proposal was submitted to DST in February 2020.

Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellowship: INAE, jointly with Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), DST in the year 2017, launched Abdul Kalam Technology Innovation National Fellowship, with the objective to encourage and support translational research in engineering in public funded institutions in the country.
