Description and Functionality
The available standard screening and diagnostic tools for Autism Spectrum Disorder are being socio culturally irrelevant, patented, costly, difficult to adopt in varied culture and socio economic status. The developed tool IAGT has two interfaces. The first interface contains parental questionnaire for initial screening. The responses are processed with machine learning method and guide the parents to further reference. The second interface is CARS (Childhood Autism Rating Scale) based clinical diagnostic and grading tool. It has the multi-choice options for the clinicians to select their clinical observations for diagnosing ASD. The tool can grade the severity of the autism based on the machine learning method which can interpret all the information and give the accurate results. The tool also includes a form to record the personal, developmental, medical and therapeutic history of the child. The final results are displayed as a report based on the above information and to guide the clinician for further clinical intervention.
   State-of-the-art
The tool is developed in native languages rather than the translated version of western tools with the consideration of Indian socio- cultural settings. The results are not only based on total scores like available tools, the ML based application considers every aspects of the autistic child and validate the importance of a particular autistic feature with the past available data and give the accurate final diagnosis by analyzing all the validated features.
Stage of Development
Prototype under validation. It is planned to upload the application in Google Playstore and the dataset in Kaggle website.
