Description and Functionality
Smart Sun Glasses for visually challenged will help them navigate around their environment with ease. The prototype is based on the principle of echolocation used by the bats. It detects the obstacle ahead of the blind people or wearer by sending ultrasonic waves, which are implanted on the sunglasses and relay on the echo of the obstacles. Using multiple sensors aligned at different angles one can know about the direction of the objects and the distance at which the object or obstacles lies. The feedback mechanism may include audible feedback or vibration feedback or both.
