Description and Functionality
eWalkNILD is a diagnostic tool that has been developed indigenously using capacitive sensor based on floor mat system that captures multiple sequential foot strikes of humans for analysis of foot function and gait. The output of the system displays plantar pressure distribution, foot orientation, stride length, velocity, and gait parameters for objective and quantified affirmation of diagnosis and mode of treatment.
State-of-the-art
Low Cost (20 to 40 times less cost than similar product available in abroad), indigenously developed capacitive sensors, optimized parallel processor, innovative sensor networking, modular approach (length of mat can vary) and User friendly GUI
Stage of Development
The prototype has been extensively tested on elderly, amputees, diabetics, persons with paraplegia, hemiplegia, arthritis, post stroke patients, children with cerebral palsy etc., and is ready for commercialization.
