Description and Functionality
ITAAC is an automated multimedia based teaching aid to support tutors and parents of autistic children and can be customized to any language. ITAAC e-Kit consists of attractive animated teaching methods which help the autistic children to understand and learn more effectively. A structured curriculum enabling a wide spectrum of disability level with 18 domain skill sets each containing 20 activities (skills) is devised and implemented with multimedia technologies viz. animation and video with audio synchronization to attract autistic children in story based learning.
State-of-the-art
First ever structured curriculum, in India, has been evolved enabling wide spectrum of disability level to be handled in optimal sequence. ITAAC enables teaching without tiresome and repetitive activities. E-Kit can be adapted to any vernacular language
Stage of Development
The software has been extensively field tested on children with autism and at National Institute for Empowerment of persons with Multiple Disabilities.
Specifications
ITAAC is a web based tool and can be operated on PC, laptop, tablet and smart phones with executable size of 10 GB. Brochure and user manual of 100 pages available in pdf format.
