Description and Functionality
The device can identify the exact location of the users and give SMS alert to the caretakers via SMS commands and full duplex voice communication. A dedicated web server and android application are developed for viewing live tracking of the designed device. Voice calling feature in this prototype will enable the person with intellectual disabilities to call the caretakers phone by pressing a single button without dialing the phone numbers. The module consists of a GPS-GSM (3G) combo chipset, 32bit ARM microcontroller (STM32F051C8T6), LCD (1.8” Display), 32Ω microphone and speaker. In the case the user lost his/her path/navigation, the GPS can be used to track their locations accurately.
