What Does the “New Normal” Look Like for Purity Life?


                           This is the question many are asking right now as we continue to make our way through what can be referred to as “unchartered
                           waters”. None of us have been trained or prepared for leading and managing through a pandemic. This used to be something we’d see
           Matthew James,   in movies or read in books. Well, how quickly we learn when thrust into a new reality.
           President and CEO   At Purity Life, transitioning into a “new normal” means many changes on how we lead and manage our teams. As of the month of
        Purity Life Health Products LP   July we are in the final stages of transitioning our office teams back into working in the office. This has been a nine week process
                           that started on June 1st and will be completed by the end of July. To achieve this, we have put into place a number measures at our
                           Acton head office to accommodate for the physical distancing requirements as well as to provide all of our office and field sales e
                           mployees with their own personal protection kits containing gloves, masks, hand sanitizers sprays/gels and thermometers to
                           check their temperatures each day.
                           Needless to say, these past months have been challenging times for our office and field sales employees. Like so many other
                           Canadians, they’ve had to manage kids at home, while working remotely and coping with a variety of stressors due to the uncertainty
                           of the pandemic.
                           To help support our employees’ mental health during this stressful time, we recently deployed the Maple Virtual Therapy program
                           which is an extension of the very popular Maple Virtual Healthcare App  (www.getmaple.ca) which helps connect people to medical
                           doctors using the app from their mobile device. As a result, our employees can now get the help and support they need to deal with
                           the anxiety and stress they may still be facing from the convenience of their home.
                           On the business end of Purity Life, I’m pleased to share we continue to hire new staff, bring on new lines and invest in efficiency
                           upgrades to our systems. For example, we recently upgraded our CustomerLink system to allow retailers to easily and conveniently
                           select backorders, that are now fillable, and add them to their current orders. To get a better understanding, I encourage you to check
                           out this new functionality under menu option “MyAccount” and then click on “My Fillable B/O’s”.  We have also recently launched an
                           Education Portal to give you the opportunity to educate yourself and your team and better service and inform your own customers.
                           This free, online training resource provides easily accessible, exceptionally educational, fun and rewarding training on many of our
                           innovative brands and additional content is added all the time.  You can sign up now at www.puritylife.com/training.
                           On the product front, we continue to launch new and innovative lines to keep you ahead of the trends.  In this catalogue you’ll
                           see 8 new brands that range from keto jams in Nature’s Hollow, to vegan, eco-friendly plant powered skincare in Sweet LeiLani,
                           to all natural hot sauce in Lola’s Fine Hot Sauce.  We’ve also added a few familiar favourites to the listings such as The Ginger People
                           and Natures Plus.  Check out the full list of new brands on pages 40 & 41.
                           In closing, while the world continues to adjust and recalibrate, all of us at Purity Life go forward with positivity and gratitude. As we
                           look to the future, we will continue to keep the health and wellness of Canadians, our staff and you, our retail partners as our number
                           one priority.  Despite the setbacks of this pandemic, we know there are brighter days ahead, and we’re stronger because of it.
