who are guilty, suffering for
an eternal period of time.
Infinity times finite equals
finite times infinity.
Jesus suffered the
equivalent of eternal
judgement for every
person, so that
every person could
be accepted,
free from sin,
by God who is just.
A prophetic insight
into what Jesus
may have
experienced is in
Matthew 12, when
Jesus replied to
those demanding
a sign:
“None will be given it except the sign of the prophet
Jonah.
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the
belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three
days and three nights in the heart of the earth."
