Rule 8: Verb (can)

Usage: We use the verb Can to express ability.

-Lina can play the guitar.
Affirmative
can + v (infinitive) -Peter can swim.

cannot + v (infinitive) -Eddy cannot cook rice.

Negative can't+ v (infinitive) -Ahmed can't run.

A:Can he/she/ it swim?

B:Yes, he/she it can.

Interrogative Can …+ v (infinitive) B:No, he she /it can’t.
/

A:Can you ride a bike?

B:Yes, I can./No, I can't.
