Season’s Greetings from the Editor
On behalf of the President and Executive Committee of the Victorian Showmen’s Guild, through our official organ, the Outdoor Showman magazine, I wish you all special season’s greetings!
It’s been another challenging year for many, however with Christmas and New Year upon us we’re hoping it’s a busy time for Showmen with many members and their families work tirelessly during the festive season at their Christmas Carnivals.
We wish you all a very happy, safe and prosperous Christmas and New Year and hope you manage some special time with your family, friends and loved one during this time.
A special mention to all our friends and supporters:-
We have missed many of the Show Societies this year, however we look forward to collaborating next year, working together to make 2022 bigger and better, safe and successful!
We express our thanks and gratitude to the Showmen’s Guild of Australasia, the Showmen’s Guild of South Australia, the Showmen’s Guild of Tasmania and the West Australian Showmen’s Association Inc. for their ongoing support throughout the year and contribution to the Outdoor Showman.
A special thank you to the Hon. Bill Shorten MP, Natasha Lackner and their team for their ongoing support of Australian travelling Showmen and women; and thank you to the Hon. David Littleproud MP and the team at the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment for their support and tireless work with us to
deliver the Australian Travelling Showmen and Women Federal Support Package.
Of special mention is Greig Novelties South, HIB Insurance Brokers, Smart Amusements and MayMax Donuts. Thank you for your longstanding advertising in the magazine and ongoing support to our Industry.

Season’s greetings to VAS Ltd Chairperson Brian Keirl, Board Members, Executive Officer Rod Bowles, Chloe and the VAS Ltd team. We wish you all a happy New Year and look forward to working with you in the New Year, 2022.
A special thank you to John MacDonnell for his exceptional efforts in coordinating the Circus and Rodeo news, and wonderful contribution to the Outdoor Showman magazine.
I would like to thank our President, Elwin Bell and Selina Bell for their wonderful support of the Victorian Showmen’s Guild this year.
