Dear Members and Friends of the Show Industry
The last publication of T.O.S for the year 2019 and I guess we are all looking forward to 2020 being an improvement on this year.
The worst drought that Australia has seen in decades has caused a huge economical downturn in so many fields of Industry, Manufacturing and not to leave out, our Shows Industry.
I do believe that once we get some decent rain inland Australia, we will see things improve.
I would like to thank all those that sent so many “Get Well” wishes for my recent illness. Phone calls, cards etc., must have helped me as I am feeling so much stronger every week, and I am already getting stuck into my duties at the office.
Speaking of which, your membership is due shortly and I advise you to keep getting your updates from the Showmen’s Guild Facebook page.
With the Christmas Carnival season coming up, my family will once again be at Foster- Tuncurry where they had a scare recently with bushfires.
I urge all to take care this very dry summer coming up.
Please make this Christmas a very Happy Christmas and a very safe one for all. I wish you all a Very Happy and Safe Christmas 2019 and a Happy New Year.
