Hello to all showmen, show societies and friends of our industry,
The silly season has come and gone, so the carnivals are all packed up and our country shows are back
in full swing.
By all accounts the Christmas carnival were financially successful despite the usual SA heat wave with some days at over 40 degrees so the day’s trading was lost, and by the time our patrons come up from the beach and the temperature dropped we lost most of the nights trading in the deal.
The Adelaide 500 was revitalised for 2022 and was held in November. The showmen that trade there report that whilst there is over 200,000 in attendance, the crowd mostly stay in the stands and watch the races.
