• Central Highlands Water
The Society extends thanks to all
sponsors-large and small. Without them there would be no Show.
What’s on in 2022?
Bring on the Strongmen!
The headline act for the 2022 Anniversary Show will be the inaugural Clunes Show Strongman Competition. Local organisers Thor and Zen have
an action packed program planned which will run throughout the day including the deadlift, the Farmers Medley and finally the tractor pull.
It promises to be a great spectacle. 2022 also represents the 25th anniversary of the Bute Ute Competition so look out for the flags and wait for the roar of the engines
in that section at judging time.
There will also be wood chopping displays by the Midlands Axmen,
a full complement of agricultural competitions the dog high jump, a
working traction engine, entertainment, food and wine and more.
If you are inclined to bring along your own animals you can bring your own ferret for the ferret racing competition, or other pets to the Pet Show. And if you would rather that the animals were supplied
you can enjoy Jamie & Kim’s Mobile Zoo as well as the huge array of sheep, cattle, horses, pigeons and poultry on display. The Homecrafts pavilion will
be filled with home cookery, floral displays, art, photography and a whole lot more.
Watch and laugh at the gum boot throw, the tug o war and the keg throw and enjoy a quiet bevvie at the bar.
As always, this year’s Show offers a great, fun day for the whole family and the Society would love to see you there. What a shame Miss Margaret Cameron (the champion broom thrower from 1964) can’t be there. We reckon she’d love it!
