CAMPERDOWN
The Camperdown P & A Society is seeking support from the Showmen’s Guild for the 2018 Show, to be held on Saturday 13 October 2018.
Over the past 5 years the Society have been building the Show, to be a successful and well supported.
The complimentary trade sites, increased amount of family activities, and range of things to do and see has the gate entry numbers increasing every year, with in excess of 3000 expected this year.
The Society feels that the inclusion of the Showmen’s Guild would be beneficial to both parties.
COLERAINE
The Coleraine Show will be held on 3 November 2018.
The Society is seeking the support of our Members, and welcomes our
Members to their 2018 Show.
Based on new legislation that came into effect on 1 August 2017, all persons working with the Guild area must have a valid Working with Children Check.
All persons working within the Guild area are required to provide a current Working With Children Card.
The Society appreciate your understanding of the situation and your compliance with these regulations.
GEELONG
The Royal Geelong Show will be held on Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 October 2018.
KYNETON
The Kyneton Agricultural Society is looking forward to hosting the 158th Annual Agricultural Show on the 16-17 November 2018.
The committee were appreciative of the Showmen’s Guild cooperation last year with the repositioning of some Guild rides. This change improved the flow of patrons, opened up the entry to our major Art and Craft Pavilion and allowed for the introduction of a food court area which was very popular. We will be having the same structure for this year’s show.
We will again be asking for WWCC from all trade sites including Guild sites and we thank the Guild for cooperating so well on this issue.
A camping fee of $35 per night (with the exclusion of Friday and Saturday nights), will be charged to all trade site holders, including Guild members who camp at the Showground.
MILDURA
The Mildura Show Society wish to advise Guild Members coming
to the 2018 Mildura Show that the Mildura Rural City Council have instructed that trucks, trailers, regardless of size, are not permitted to enter through the 11th Street brick gate entrance.
Entry can still be through the 11th Street firemen’s track gate and access then through the internal gate.
Thank you for your co-operation.
All operators of Food Vans wishing to attend the Royal Geelong Show must be registered with Streatrader or comply with the City of Greater Geelong regulations and apply for a working permit for this event.

HOPETOUN
This year is the 120th Annual Hopetoun Show. The Hopetoun Show will be held on Sunday 14 October 2018.
The Society would like to invite Members of the Showmen’s Guild to attend.
This year our main audience, which is missed every year, is our teenagers which love all the big/scary rides.
The Show has been increasing in numbers due to more competition on offer e.g Show N Show.
The Society would love to have their Show increased in numbers by encouraging more people to attend by giving people what they have expected to see at an agricultural Show.
Having more rides and entertainment at our Hopetoun Show would help”.
HORSHAM
The Horsham Agricultural Society celebrates its 140th Grand Annual Agricultural Show on 29-30 September 2018. This will be followed on October 2 & 3 with the Horse Show.
Plans are well underway to change the layout of their Show to reduce the area used and utilise the historical stables and rustic buildings which make up the Maydale Reserve at the Horsham Showgrounds.
Highlights include an Ag Show Food & Wine Fest as the central hub for activity on the Wimmera River. This includes a space for alfresco dining, live music, a grand parade, lots of free entertainment for
the whole family including the construction of a finger knitted tee-pee, scarecrow making, shearing competition, wood chopping demonstrations, pet show, dog obedience and sheep dog trial training for beginners.
An historical display of memorabilia will complement the vintage farm machinery including a restored gig.
New to the Show will be a truck display, local cars from the Variety Club Bash, speedway cars and the traditional Beaut Ute Competition.
The Home Industries and Handcrafts Pavilion will be relocated to The Cattle Shed function centre where the Work for the Dole team have been busy building new glass display cabinets. The former cattle yards will turn into a maze of cubby houses and a diamond dig will keep everyone digging for treasures for the whole day.
The traditional fireworks will end a fun filled family day in Sideshow Alley which opens on the eve of the Show on Saturday 29 September at 5.00pm til 10.00pm.
