changing relationship with the universe
and the artist. He hopes his work can
provide healing for not only his family,
but anyone that sees themselves in him.
Khaerisman would like to thank A nana, Da
Iman, Sarah, Risvia, Rania, his parents, his
wonderful sisters in law, Megan & Marium,
and his nephews Alan and Luqman. There
is nothing impossible when Allah is in your
corner. Keep pushing for greater heights.
Demand more seats in the table. And
above all else honor the stories you tell

Khaerisman began his journey in the arts
through rap battles at the bus stops of

University of Houston, and hopes that the
push for accountability and mindfulness

pulls inspiration for the creation of
ALHAMDULILLAH from Houston based
artists Lina Habazi, Hedaya Kelani, Tyren
Duncan, and Cary Fagan. Khaerisman is
interested in the intersectionality of poetry
and movement in his work, and thanks
R.J. Wright, Aris K. Brown, Jackson Neal,
Ebony Stewart, and Buddy Wakefield for
teaching him how to take up space in
