Examples of Expressions of Asking Suggestion

There are many expressions that express themselves to give and ask for

advice/suggestion. Here are some examples of both formal and non-formal

expressions and their meanings.

1. Asking suggestion or advice

Formal:

• Would you give me some advice?

• What should I do?

• Do you have any ideas?

• Do you have any suggestions for me?

• Do you have any advice for me?

• Please, tell me what should I do?

• Can you give me some advice about ...?

• Give me your advice, please!

Informal:

• What should I do?

• What is your advice/suggestion?

• What do you suggest?

• If you were me, what would you do?

• I need your advice/suggestion.

• What ought I to do?

• Tell me your advice!
