SIGN BALLAST DATE CODES BALLASTS

Because sign ballast are warrantied from the date of manufacture, customers often ask us how to read the
date codes on each manufacturers ballasts. Here is a chart with guidelines.

Mark 3 3 Advance is now standardizing date codes for all
magnetic, electronic and HID ballast. The Advance
date code is located in the first of two lines of code.
Stamped on the base of the
Sign PRO Electronic 3 ballast case Sample: “06130N73” In this example, 06 130, repre-
sents 2006 (06) and May 10 (130th day of the year).
The rest of the code can be ignored.
Allanson
Ferromagnetic HO 2 Stamped on the side of the Sample: “0708” In this example, 07 represents the
ballast and printed on the month (July, the 7th month) and 08 represents the
RSS Rapid Start HO 2 white wire. year (2008).

T12HO Rapid Start 2
Sample: “0208” In this example, 02 represents the
